Trial sizes

So this is something that is great to know. When you use coupons it is usually a better deal to get the smaller items. Like with diapers figure out how much each diaper is going to be. It is usually better to buy two jumbo sized instead of the mega pack. Because you can use two coupons instead of one. Just FYI diaper can always be found for about $0.21 if they are cheaper than that stock up! The other thing that is great to buy is trial size things. If the coupon does not say excludes trail size you can use it. Deodorants, toothpaste, sanitizer, Advil, baby lotion etc. My friend Shani actually told me this deal today. At target or probably at any store contact solution was .99 and she printed $1.00 off coupon getting it for free.

I only buy the trial sizes if it is going to be FREE other wise it is not a good deal.

Overage!!! IS GOOD!!

Ok, so my internet has been down for two weeks now. It is back up an I am ready to kick off the coupon stuff! So this week is overage! If you buy a travel size product for .97 and you have a coupon for $1.50 off you are making $1.03 overage. The stores will not give you money back. It will go twards the other items that you are buying. Most store will do this. The only one that is picky is Target.

Here is a coupon for post-it notes. If you buy two post-it flags you get $3.00 off. At Walmart they have post-it page makers for .97 and the coupon works for them. So you buy two and your total is $1.94 and you are making $1.06 overage. I do this every time that I go grocery shopping. NO I DO NOT NEED any more post-it notes buy I am making money to go twards my groceries so I get them anyways. give them as gifts or donate them.

This is another great coupon for organic diced tomatoes. They are $1.14 at walmart and this coupon is for $1.00 off. You can't beat that for food storage.

To MEEGZ: I clip all of my coupons each sunday and I don't keep track of what week they come. I tried to do that and it was to confusing for me. I am more a visual person. Do you do a coupons blog also?

Start small

Ok Yes I am doing a coupon blog!! I love to coupon and it gets very addicting. Some weeks I will go to the store 10 times and some weeks I will only go once. If there is great deals I just can't pass them up. So I am going to challenge everyone to start small. If you want to save money but can't get into coupons just yet just do one thing PRICE MATCH. Go to pinchingyourpennies.com and go to the grocery guide it has a list of all the stores and all of there adds. You can make your list from there and print it out. It has the prices, sizes of products and the store that it is on sale at. Then you take that to walmart and do your shopping. They will price match any store. If you only do this one thing you will save up to 30% on your monthly grocery bill.
